Consegna has achieved Amazon Web Services end user computing competency status.

The AWS designation recognises that Auckland-based Consegna provides deep expertise in supporting customers that need to provision, protect, and get intelligence from end-point devices, end-user apps, and data on AWS.

Consegna managing director John Taylor said the certification was a win for his team and acknowledgement of their hard work.

AWS has launched the competency with a limited number of partners globally, he said.

Advanced consulting partners in the AWS partner network (APN) who achieve the status provide services and offerings designed to help customers with strategy, professional services, managing infrastructure, repeatable intellectual property, and optimisation of end user computing technologies.

On AWS these include Amazon WorkSpaces, Amazon AppStream 2.0, and Amazon WorkLink.

"End-user computing needs a wealth of skills and knowledge to get the outcome for our clients," Taylor said.

The AWS end user computing competency also includes offerings that provide a resource brokering mechanism (control plane), visualisation / remote display protocol, and an application execution environment using AWS.

Examples include Citrix virtual apps and desktops and VMware Horizon.

Master of software development students at the Wellington ICT Graduate School use AWS Workspaces with the help of Consegna.

“Technology where you have your own desktop, but on any computer, a desktop that is shared on the cloud so wherever you are, whatever device you're using you'll have the same environment is fantastic,“ school head Dr Karsten Lundqvist said.

Consegna is a cloud-native, AWS advanced APN consulting partner with over 35 certifications and accreditations.
